Quartz co-founder and former editor in chief, Kevin Delaney on CBS This Morning: Saturday discussing the future of autonomous vehicles.

  • Quartz founding editor Kevin Delaney joined CBS This Morning: Saturday to discuss autonomous vehicles (you can read our Obsession email on the topic here). He also was a guest on CNBC Squawk Alley to share the latest on WeWork’s IPO, and in another episode: Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency.
  • Technology Editor Mike Murphy was on Yahoo Finance’s Y Fi show to discuss the Volfefe Index (and eat some tacos). He also joined Cheddar ahead of Apple’s September release and then to discuss the future of the internet.
  • Annalisa Merelli joined Cheddar to discuss Nobel Peace Prize candidates ahead of the October announcement.
  • Quartz reporter Alison Griswold discussed the latest with WeWork on BBC Radio 5 Wake Up to Money, and talked about how California is redefining the gig economy on BBC World.
  • The Quartz Hong Kong bureau continues to share their on-the-ground reporting on a global scale. Mary Hui appeared on KPFA, Deutsche Welle, and Vox’s Reset podcast to discuss the ongoing protests, as well as BBC World to discuss the censorship of theHKMap.live app in China. Isabella Steger joined BBC World to discuss Angela Merkel’s visit to China, Newstalk ZB in New Zealand to provide an update on the protests, and was profiled by Al Jazeera for her outstanding coverage.
  • Covering Chinese business news, Jane Li joined BBC World Business Report to discuss China’s surging pork prices, and Technode to explain the slowdown of private investment in Chinese tech companies.
  • Isabelle Niu joined a BBC segment to discuss National Day Celebrations in China.
  • Health and science reporter Katherine Foley joined BBC Business Matters, BBC World Business Report, and BBC Talking Business with Aaron Heslehurst from their Washington DC studio to discuss Juul, the vaping industry, and the threats posed by e-cigarettes. She also appeared on Newstalk’s “Taking Stock with Vincent Wall” to discuss the business of genetic testing.
  • In September, Sangeeta Singh-Kurtz joined Cheddar to discuss Taylor Swift album sales, while Adam Epstein gave the low-down on new entertainment streaming models, and Max de Haldevang joined to discuss Brexit.
  • Future of finance reporter John Detrixhe joined Monocle’s The Globalist to discuss business news of the day, here and here. Senior reporter Akshat Rathi also appeared on Monocle Radio twice to share the latest in climate news, found here and here.

Quartz reporters and editors also appeared at myriad events the past two months, as both moderators and guests, tackling global questions and facilitating important conversations.

  • Quartz Africa Editor Yinka Adegoke led a roundtable at the World Economic Forum in South Africa about Africa’s leading innovators.
  • Quartz at Work Editor Heather Landy moderated a panel hosted in New York by Tent Partnership for Refugees discussing the mobilization of the private sector on behalf of refugees. She also took the stage in the US capitol, to moderate a panel on the next generation of talent in finance for Talent Forward 2019.
  • Isabella Steger spoke at an event organized by Yale Law School about the Hong Kong protests. Mary Hui spoke at the Human Rights Foundation’s Oslo Freedom Forum in Taiwan on the use of technology in Hong Kong’s protests, as well as on a panel at the American Chamber of Commerce’s annual conference on “Hong Kong’s role between the battling giants.”
  • Jason Karaian spoke at the Albuquerque International Association about Brexit.
  • Holly Ojalvo was on a panel at the Center for Communication in New York called “Where the Journalism Jobs Will Be.”
  • Akshat Rathi spoke at the News Impact Summit in Birmingham, UK about effectively using newsletters.
  • Tim Fernholz took the stage in San Francisco for the Planet Explore Conference to moderate a panel on journalism and technology.
  • Annalisa Merelli spoke about women in digital media at the After Festival in Bologna, Italy.
